I am a 26yr old graduate (MBA), who was selected among the top 30 business students across the globe and was invited to prestigious Clinton Global Initiative (New York, USA) this September, in appreciation for my analytical & leadership skills by President Bill Clinton, Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus and other respected global leaders. I developed a market entry strategy for start-ups with $1 Million seed capital to solve the food insecurity problems in urban slums. This is part of HULT PRIZE, the world’s largest business case competition and I represented Asia Pacific region at Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in New York this year. Also I am the coveted member of reputed Clinton Global Initiative.

Looking for a challenging role in formulating strategies for growth and sustainability of organizations. My adept skills at creating innovative frameworks, market research, lean systems and developing new strategies is unparalleled. The arsenal of weapons I bring to your company will add value to your decision making strategies and be more competitive in your industry. Innovation and competitive intelligence are two tools companies rely on for sustainability and I fill your void with my experience. The entrepreneurial spirit inside me always looks at opportunities to do profitable business and partnership with Clinton Global Initiative (New York) enhanced my professional network to seek new clients. This summer, I spent 7 weeks at Boston (USA) at an accelerator program under the aegis of IXL CENTER, premier consulting firm providing services to Fortune 500 companies.

With a strong academic performance, after my under-graduation, I joined TATA group as a communication engineer and worked with Verizon Telecom (USA) in their critical data migration strategy that saved $2 Million in maintenance costs. In the span of four years, I primarily focused on innovation & business development projects at Tata group and was bestowed " Best Innovator " award by former TATA Group chairman Mr Ratan Tata. Later I quit my job and co-founded a start-up Car Shuffle, the first online car pooling service in Chennai, India. As Operations head, I was instrumental in providing a robust system to connect with 560 customers through mobile application. After successful entrepreneur experience, to further enhance my management skills, I pursued MBA from Asian Institute of Management(AIM), Philippines. The 16 month course enabled me to understand the global business trends and their impact on Asia & provided me innovative tools in scripting business strategies relevant to ASEAN.

Fumble

Today i ran into simple mistakes due to negligence towards my concentration. A straight forward question confused me to the extent that is mere thought of it fumbles my inner peace. Life is motley of these misgivings and the sooner i realize this fact and move on, the better i would be in long term. Things at B school are shaping up and i for myself is coping up with the race. Not to mention, my attention to other private stuff, my academic life is on the horse. Now the question is to jump from it before the horse lands dead on its feet.

1 Week in Manila

The first week took off with an Orientation for Cohort 8. Things were set in motion, and we were introduced to the Case study methodology. Prof Bernando was immaculate in his approach to introduce the business frameworks to our bunch. All the 136 students were divided into 2 sections, me part of Section B. The 80 min sessions were not typical lectures but more of opinion based. Things looking bright and we had lot of idle time to spend in the week. Ran into seniors now and then to enlighten our term subjects.

Voyage to South East Asia

After lot of thought, decided to pursue my MBA from AIM , Manila. Its a gamble after throwing away coveted IIMK FPM and GIM admits. Well as i embark on this voyage to further east, i pray lord for his watch at my actions. The journey began on rail from vizag to bangalore with 40kg of cargo after adios to my loving mom. Settled down at yeswanthpur at my jiju's place for 1 day before joining hands with my dad. Next day collected the dollar currency from bank. On the day of my first international flight, i started at 6 pm on route to Airport. The weather is friendly thanks to the rain gods.

Spent quality time with dad and ananth with a subway veg sandwich at the Airport terminal. After clearing air on the luggage weight , pushed myself inside the departure gate with a smile on my dad's face. Glad he was here to support me on this en devour. Shaked hands with fellow students as we went through the check-in process. Later the immigration and security measures were a cakewalk. Swept by these in no time , but the SA flight was still 2 hr away to be boarded. Lingered around the airport for consolation of the fact i am flying abroad leaving this beloved land. At sharp 10 45 PM walked into the closed chambers to step into the aircraft. Real technological marvel to watch this heavy bird parked in front of me to help me cross the Bay of Bengal. Well with a jacket in a hand, the cute air hostess ushered me to my seat. Was little uncomfortable between two girls but in no time, had a resourceful discussion with fellow students on the AIM . Never learnt so much about AIM in last 5 months and kept myself awake til i hit the ground at singapore. A little over 4 hrs is what it took for me to reach this wonderful city.

Marveled at the sight of the humongous airport built in full sanity with sky trains. Worth a watch for sure. Went around the numerous shops inside the airport for window shopping. Next our troupe was ready to board the connecting flight to Manila. After regular security check, cleared to board SA flight for another 4 hr journey. The Veg meal offered in this course is better than the former. And spent next 2 hrs watching MIB3. Later we hit Manila and cleared off immigration and ready to reach AIM. After a 30 min haul over the taxi, loaded our luggage and set to Makati City. And took a while to get our Medical check and moved into the dormitory. That's how my 1st international flight journey took place.. lot more to go!
