What does an MBA fetch you !

This question ponder in the minds of many Under Graduates in their final semester when all the 4 yrs of fun comes to an end! ... Very few tend to understand the real motive behind an MBA, while others pursue Masters (finding an excuse to travel abroad) and many end up with a software job.. Not so surprising the attrition rate in top 10 IT Indian companies is around 40% among the new recruits. Reason??? simple only when we get to know the real potential , they pursue an MBA with a reason and vision.. Is this really so!! Never be fooled with the know axioms that work exp would help for an MBA, but what really counts is on how passionate you are in taking up challenges and getting along in a group. Once you master this law, things become easy to embark the journey of selection, which leave behind in the myriad of competitive exams.

According to the latest figures, there are around 1000 Management schools in the country offering MBA course, and so the degree you receive matter the most! Already 3 years into this sector, i can shortlist around 15 colleges which are more or less on the same footing after extensive study on various influential factors. Hardly around say 3,000 seats overall and we have at least 2 lakh aspirants in the fray. Everything boils down to qualifying through the first round of examination, followed by Group discussion or Essay Writing , lastly the PI which saps the energy out of you !!! For me the worst part is the day of the results, where your relatives ring up to en quire bout my score, it sucks !!  Well got used to this though, still those midnight oil lamps i burnt, and challenging simcats i took in 2008 were the best . Guys always remember, your first attempt is the best attempt ever....So gear up and take your best shot in this year CAT 2010,this time with me too joining the band wagon this contest should be challenging.!

Respect among your peers, Moral booster pill, Able to script your own business someday,
Best of all, able to create value in building a social enterprise changing the way people live. What's more important how u earn or how much u made others earn?  The Latter works for me and this is what i strive for in my future endeavors.
