Are you still a Slave?

What can we do to help her?
Twice a year, we get to see the disciplined military parade and the sight of our war heads to remind us of the freedom we live with. Well as its mid-August and we are here to celebrate IDay,less than a week after my birthday:) . And much of media showcase patriotic movies to remind us of the sacrifices of millions in pursuit of freedom which we enjoy! Did we really earn this freedom from the British who ruled us and caused much post-war tensions with our neighbors. Lets not blame others for our faults, rather scrutinize how these 63 yrs has passed by under the shadow of the falsehood....

Although India celebrates its hard fought freedom on the night of Aug 15 many years ago, we are still a slave in reality. Before we are slaves to the British, and now we are slaves for the west. The Americans, Europeans and Mighty Middle East decide our course of life and much of our economic policies. People lose jobs when the world economy gets murkier much to the ripples of globalization we proudly aver since 2 decades. I couldn't stop thinking the fact that we are still slaves to the US due to our foreign policies and financial interests. So there is lot more to achieve for that tri-color flag to fly proudly.

For once we need to do analyze at the ground level whether we are really not slave or if so for whom. Many are slaves to alcohol, some slaves to tobacco, other slaves to women, and various other kinds of stuff...So never let anything gain control over to influence your decisions in life! Slavery should be wiped if you need to succeed and i just figured that out! May be this day is one we all celebrate in unison the independence day not only to honor our fore-fathers but also the opportunities this country has offered us.

Hope when she turns 68( Retired) i shall grow up to be the Man she wants me to be and feels proud of me.
