It all started at 8 am where I had a cup of fresh lemon tea served on the bed. Later took bath at the creative ablution bay! Checked in later for breakfast and boarded the bus to visit Trivandrum. Had an interesting discussion with Utkarsh( Research Associate in Rural Management) during the 45 min journey to workshop. Was opened to discussion with Mr Vijay Raghavan on his experience in starting this Techno Enterprise. Its resourceful for us to know the challenges he went through in handling the bureaucracy in pushing his agenda forward. Interesting to hear, but in the long term it was a lesson for all of us in managing such a venture. Later we were introduced to Mr Jay kumar who spent most of his life in educating the masses on the importance of waste management, handicrafts etc. After a simple lunch with Chennai group, we were engrossed into Agricultural growth in a large way. Mrs Usha was someone whose work in this sector was respected and I have lot to think on my project.
This is the hour of introspection where I shared a talk with Shashank on my business proposals and he simply said why not start without going to them . It was an eye opener, people who started these social enterprises without any Venture Capitcal Funds supporting them. Met Mrs Meenakshi who was a facilitator who really helped me in filling the gaps of my rural proposal. There is lot to experiment in this field and only if I start concentrating on the end user I shall succeed. First before I ask for funds, I need to show some results to convince myself. Truly I need to rework on how I can help the landless farmer in taking up my service package to bring change. After a round trip within Technopark, we returned to our base rail station , where we had an interesting discussion with AAK GAO and Swamiji. Enjoyed hearing to such stories on how they pulled themselves and pushed forward. It’s a lesson to remember for a long time as Ritesh said if there is no impact on you at end of the day the journey will be futile. I had dinner and finally got lectured on the Role Model discussion patterns . It was a day packed on innovation, creativity, passion to start enterprise, youth role in building enterprises, and many more.. It was like a pep session for the lot to come as we proceed forward. …… Enjoying the vibes of the yatra in true spirit.
